Information for Research Participants

The Phase I CePAWHS survey was conducted in 2004-05: 2,002 women responded to a telephone survey conducted by the Penn State Survey Research Center; 288 Amish women were interviewed in their homes by researchers from Franklin & Marshall College; and 248 adolescent girls were interviewed in health clinics by staff of the Family Health Council of Central Pennsylvania. A followup telelphone survey is planned for the fall of 2006.

Phase II of CePAWHS is now in the field. Women living in selected communities throughout Central Pennsylvania are being invited to participate in free health screenings and group sessions designed to help women improve their health prior to pregnancy.
